Seriously. Welcome to Happily Ever After, Rosaline.
You live in a united and prosperous Verona. And you don’t have to hang out with people who get married within hours of meeting.
You won the freaking Shakespeare tragedy lottery.
p.s. I hear that Paris guy ain’t half bad. Oh, he’s dead, too? YEAH MAYBE YOU SHOULD JUST COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS THEN.
Clearly the only man in that play for me is Mercutio. Oh, he’s dead, too?
Might I recommend Benvolio?

I’m headed to the USA for a month, and so won’t be updating this blog that often while I’m away. In the meantime I leave with you this amazing open access video archive to peruse: Global Shakespeares.
“The Global Shakespeares Video & Performance Archive is a collaborative project providing online access to performances of Shakespeare from many parts of the world as well as essays and metadata provided by scholars and educators in the field.”

From PBS: “Shakespeare Uncovered: Macbeth w / Ethan Hawke”
I was so happy to see that the makers of “Shakespeare Uncovered” decided to use “Sleep No More” as one of their myriad of examples of “Macbeth.” Here is a clip of Ethan Hawke watching a rehearsal and conducting an interview with Nicholas Bruder and Tori Sparks in the MacBeth residence. It contains excerpts from the scene post Duncan’s murder. Amazing footage.
